(Important reading)
Since we have 37 New
Members, lets go over everything
Chamber Business Hours,
as most of you know we cut back the chamber work week to 4 days back in
2009, but we are becoming very busy and have gone back to five days, but by
appointment only at the Chamber Office on Sahara to stay organized in this
economy. Remeber June is not at this location unless she has board meetings,
classes or workshops. The office is for sales staff and pre-set
appointments.
Chamber call in hours
10am to 3pm Monday Through Friday (VM before and after hours) or you can
email Barbara for a quicker responce time at
members@womenschamberofnevada.org When calling in, please do
not be in a rush, the calls go through the receptionist switch board
(with Jesse) who handles 40 other clients on the same floor, he will ring
our office and Barbara will answer, unless she is on the phone, then it will
go to voice mail.
June Beland, Hi
everyone, I am becoming a little harder to reach these days (that's a good
thing), I am out in the field with community leaders, chambers,
organizations, political figures, Local-State-Federal Officials, meetings,
sales staff and my business, etc. so please call my Assistant Barbara
Wilson, she is now working on serveral projects with me and handles all my
calls unless she steps away from her desk. So if you need something from me,
tell her and she will let me know, unless she can handle it for you.
June's New
Publication Nevada Women's Yellow Pages will Première
September 2010, it
is now in the final stage for
listings or display advertising, call June at 733.3955 or Peggy
Smith at 339.2555. June is donating 15% of the net to the
Women's Chamber Building Fund.
Chamber Members need to
make an appointment, not walk-in, we are at two location right now, the
Sahara office is for appointments, June's own Business Office is off premis,
she is busy talking to leaders about getting a building donated and raising
(Major Funds) for the Women's Chamber of Commerce of Nevada Building Fund to
hoisue the (Executive office, events room, Women's Business Resource and
Educational Institute). If we can get our own building we can offer the
members more business resources, education, loans and counseling to help
their business or career (all within their membership). We are puting a
business plan together for this project right now and Grant Proposals.
Summer Issue of the Women
In Power Magazine is in production and will be out about August 6th or
9th baring no production or printing problems.
Board of Advisors,
have finalized the New Programs for YOU (besides the Women In Power
Breakfast Cafe) to help members Showcase their business and get to know
more member, their businesses, to build friends and business relationships.
They are checking their dates with the chambers ongoing
event/meeting schedules so they don't over lap. You will be notified on
Monday or Tuesday.
Membership Committee,
we will meet and go over everything with the members that want to be on this
committee, date and place TBD.
Events Committee is now
forming, we have Deborah Williams with Cartridge World, Colleen Drinnon of
American Family Ins., Lyn Schmidt of NuSkin and New
Bonnie Rosselli , Alpha Graphics . If you would like to be on this
committee, call Barbara Wilson at 702.733.3955. We will set out first
meeting in the next week, you will be informed.
