M
arilyn Gillespie is the executive director and founder of the Las Vegas Natural History Museum, a non-profit community-supported organization dedicated to educating about conservation and preservation of wildlife. She is also the president of the Cultural Corridor Coalition. Through Gillespie’s efforts, the Museum has collections valued at over $3,000,000 and has been named as a Smithsonian Affiliate.

helley Stepanek has been reelected to represent Destinations Services Association as president for the next two years. DSA is a non-profit organization and oldest devoted to tourism in Nevada. Stepanek, who owns Stagedreams, Ltd., was originally elected to the leadership position in November 2007 after having served as vice president. Stepanek said her goals are to establish a close inner working relationship between all the members and opening new doors for them.


For the next few weeks, Debbie will highlight two exceptional women, from the Las Vegas area, that are making a difference.
