A ug. 30–Sept. 5 is Restaurant Week, which allows diners to experience special prix fixe menus at their favorite restaurants while giving back. A portion of the specially priced menus (either $30.10 or $50.10) goes to Three Square to help fight hunger in Southern Nevada. Sept. 11, 6:00 p.m.: The “I Have a Dream®” Foundation Las Vegas is hosting their 14th Annual Ball to celebrate the dreamers and community heroes over the past 14 years as this group of students prepare to graduate. This gala marks the completion of the original “I Have a Dream®” Foundation Las Vegas Chapter as a new group of students will be adopted by a new upcoming co-sponsors in the following year. Oct. 2, 8 p.m.: Celebrate the music of the unforgettable Frank Sinatra when the Las Vegas Philharmonic is joined by the Chairman of the Board’s own pianist and conductor Vincent Falcone, featuring vocal performances by Las Vegas favorite Clint Holmes. Oct. 29–31, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. (10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday): The College of Southern Nevada Foundation will host Fall Fun Fest at the CSN Charleston campus to raise funds for scholarships and student activities. The weekend-long event is free and open to the public. The festival will feature raffles, food, activities, vendors, dance performances, concerts and children’s activities.
