September 2, 2010 – Las Vegas, NV – Nevada Senator Harry Reid today made the following statement on the opening of the new Las Vegas area Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) office located at 600 Las Vegas Blvd. South.
“Las Vegas has seen tremendous growth in the past few decades, and with that growth comes the need for improved oversight and safety in the workplace. Nevada’s labor force needs strong health and safety oversight to ensure the proper training and protections are in place. This office will be especially beneficial to our state as we put more Nevadans to work on renewable energy projects that grow our clean energy economy and lead us to energy independence.”
