2006 Election Milestone

IT IS ENTIRELY possible that the 2006 national elections will be looked upon as perhaps one of the most important elections in recent America history. One third of our Constitutional branches of government, setting national policies, laws and programs will be determined by our new Congress.

Americans will either perpetuate the failed 2-party system by voting along political party lines, or they will cast their votes to effect real political and governmental change in America by voting for independent political candidates. All voters in Nevada, whether Republicans, Democrats or independents will soon have such an independent political choice. The Reform Party of Nevada is preparing statewide and national political candidates to offer Nevadans real choices politically in the private confines of the voting booths. No longer will it be necessary for Nevadans to lament having to choose between the lesser of two political evils. It is indeed time to throw out the poorly performing, self and special interested, and non-representative politicians who have abandoned their solemn Constitutional promises to Nevadans and to our fellow Americans.

The Reform Party of Nevada will offer political choices in 2006 that, I believe, Nevadans are now seeking. Make no mistake, these choices, as is the election itself, will affect the very future of our state and our nation.

We need to change the wrongful course upon which our state and our nation is embarked upon. State and national issues are at stake. We need changes in our failed education system. A national priority for the Reform Party is to develop—not talk about—alternative sources of energy. Energy sources that are dependable, affordable and independent of foreign influences that dictate America's foreign policies and continue to economically rule our nation. The Reform Party of Nevada has a sensible plan for the Yucca Mountain issue in our state. And the Reform Party of Nevada stands solidly in opposition to illegal immigration that has truly harmed the working and taxpaying citizens of Nevada and the nation.

By next month's publication of our message to our friends in the Las Vegas community, we shall be introducing our political candidates, our state and national leadership, and our clearly stated position on all of the important issues that face our state and our nation.

Voting Nevadans, you will have a political choice in 2006.

Stay tuned.

Sincerely,

Bruce Westcott, Chair
Reform Party of Nevada
