Consumer Affairs:
Deceptive trade practices in general (such as false or misleading
advertising), plus specific statutory authority over automobile
repairs and service, discount buying clubs, telemarketing agencies,
travel agents and agencies; credit repair organizations, health and
membership clubs; dance and martial arts studios; and weight loss
clinics, sports betting information services, magazine sales and
charitable solicitors. All complaints must be in writing in order to
initiate an investigation. Forms are available on the Web site or
by calling the office.
