Robin's Royal Rundown of New Year's Eve in Vegas

All of us at Luxe Life and Vegas Pop trust you all had a wonderful Christmas with family and friends and that the effects of the turkey are slowly wearing off. We're going to take a break for three days to prepare for the insanity of next weekend and will be back again on January 2 with the full blow-by-blow photo reports on all the high-priced celebrity champagne celebrations. Meantimes, what better way to prepare for the New Year and warm up this cold week between the two holidays than with two platinum photos of the Crazy Girls?

Las Vegas' Crazy Girls Topless Revue

Crazy Girls Topless Revue in Las Vegas

They are currently on their Holiday vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico getting ready to resume their 20-year+ Riviera show next Wednesday, Jan. 3. Summer Ferguson of "Crazy Girls" does "The Heart" the only ballet number in the revamped show. The 5-foot-9-inch statuesque dancer says, "Performing runs in my family. My mom and aunt were both Lakers' cheerleaders with Paula Abdul. I began my dance lessons at age two and I wanted to be a Victoria's Secret model." Valentina Smirnova who speaks Russian and English fluently, moved to America to break into show business and landed in one of Vegas' Sexiest Shows. The Russian beauty was a dancer and model when she arrived in San Francisco only to discover Vegas had much more to offer for her career. Valentina appeared in Maxim Magazine and as a fashion, fitness, catwalk and spokes-model she was crowned Miss Russian California in 2003. Born in Kalinghrad she spent nine years as a gymnast competing in the Russian Federal and European Championships.

We're inching ever closer to the January 7 premiere on VH1 of our new "Surreal Life: Fame Games" series with 11 of the most memorable cast members from past Surreal Life shows. Click above or here for the video preview. There will only be one winner of the $100,000 grand prize from such competing stars as Brigitte Nielsen, Emmanuel Lewis, Traci Bingham, Pepa, Verne Troyer, Vanilla Ice, CC Deville, Chyna Doll and Andrea Lowell. I'm the host and the "tacky" game show emcee. We filmed it all on location at various Vegas hotspots and the results were hilarious. It's a furious fight between the A-listers and the B-listers each trying to change teams before elimination.

007 FIREWORKS
Call it America's Party because the entire country will be watching our New Year's Eve spectacular. Vegas becomes the ultimate place to party withDirecTV's exclusive 4-hour + live music performance show, CD USA. It takes over the famous Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas for the live, nationally televised celebration. Millions of viewers will tune in at 8pm our time to join 10,000 + ticketed guests as the live audience for performances by All-American Rejects, Chicago, Five for Fighting, Rockstar: Supernova, Smash Mouth and OK Go. Then the world's most exciting fireworks extravaganza on the Las Vegas Strip to ring in 2007 in classic Vegas spectacular style. The theme of the pyrotechnics will be "Vegas Royale 2007," featuring the soundtrack themes of many James Bonds' adventures, including "Bond Theme 007," "A View to A Kill," "Casino Royale" and "Bond Techno Finale."

The incredible intensity will last 5 mins, 40 secs show with comets, roman candles and "Souza Bombardos" part of the program. Walls of fire and color washes, using the latest new lemons, limes, oranges and purples are set to splash over the entire Strip in giant eruptions of flashing effects, glittering comets, crackling bursts and a thunderous "Titanium Silver" finale. Seven rooftop locations will be used for the platinum pyrotechnics including the MGM Grand, Monte Carlo, Flamingo Las Vegas, The Venetian, Treasure Island (TI), Circus-Circus and Stratosphere resorts.

"I call this show 'Lucky Number 7,'" says show designer Jim Souza. "This year's show has more 'fire power' and intensity than previous years and promises to entertain the thousands of party goers with a high energy '007' theme." For visitors and residents spending the evening downtown, the gates open on Fremont Street at 5:30 p.m. and all ticket holders have to be at least 18 years old.

OUR MERRY MAYOR OF MIRTH

Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman and Robin LeachWho better than jolly Mayor Oscar Goodman to be our last interview of 2006 and our first interview of the New Year? Luxe Life chatted with him about the ROCK 'N' ROLL fireworks spectacular: "Las Vegas is THE place to be on New Year's Eve. Each year the fireworks are more spectacular, the celebration gets more exciting, the entertainment is phenomenal, and people come from all over the world to experience it. That's why we are known as America's Party. It has become an annual tradition in Las Vegas, and this year it is a true citywide celebration with more than 300,000 visitors expected for the weekend. This is huge and absolutely the most important New Year's Eve we've ever had. It will be the most memorable kickoff to 2007 anywhere in the world. This is going to be the world's party. This is going to be the coolest party in the history of Las Vegas, which is the coolest city in the history of the world. At the Fremont Street Experience they are going to have stages on both sides and people will be able to go back and forth There will be three bands on one stage, and 3 bands on another stage, they are world renowned and with Direct TV televising it all it gets no better than that. We put up an awful lot of money into this because we think it is so worthwhile. We are getting the whole world excited about what is going on in Las Vegas. Even our light show on the Experience will have a James Bond theme with the James Bond movies on the screen there. I love Las Vegas of course and New Years is the starting time for good things to come. So when I welcome the world into our living room, so to speak, it is with a great deal of love and affection and we just want everyone to have a good time, because that is what Las Vegas is all about."

NEW YEAR'S PLANNING
Now to the most comprehensive listing of events leading up to the Dec 31 and January 1 highlights in an easy-to-follow Luxe Life guide we affectionately call ROBIN'S ROYAL RUNDOWN:

Dec 26
* With his shrug-it-off sarcasm and magnification of life's absurdities Jerry Seinfeld will have you laughing in the aisles at Caesars Palace tonight and tomorrow.

* The Beach Boys with leader Mike Love bouncing the ball and John Stamos providing the beat, bring a touch of summer sunshine and surfing to the Luxor right through New Year's Eve.

Dec 27
* Magic-master and imperial illusionist David Copperfield will continue his Holiday Season amazing trickery through January 3 at MGM's Hollywood Theater.

Dec 28
* Another magician who thrills with the "big cats" is local resident Rick Thomas and he'll be at the Orleans showroom with 3 shows a day through Saturday night.

Dec 29

Robin Leach and Fergie

* Fergie is my new pop-femme fatale favorite and she's with the Black Eyed Peas and special guest Chamillionaire for their Monkey Business Tour concert at Mandalay Bay before flying down to Rio de Janeiro to celebrate New Years Eve there.

* My other favorite lady Susan Anton takes a 3-day break from her touring schedule to come home for the Holidays with her show up at the Suncoast through New Years Eve.

* Another friend, funny-man David Brenner, who still holds a record 158 the most-ever Tonight show appearances for a comedy star, and now lives here in Vegas, tickles the funny-bone for 3-nights through New Years Eve at the Orleans. Joking aside he's also produced and written 114 different TV documentaries.

* Chris Cagle and Jamie O'Neal perform in the Event Hall of the newly-named South Point resort.

* Race your car down the I-15 to see REO Speedwagon at the Star of the Desert Arena

* The 3-day weekend of fun and festivities kicks into high gear with DJ Grandmaster Flash on the turntables and special guest Jared Leto celebrating his birthday at PURE in Caesars Palace.

Dec. 30

Robin Leach and Chuck Lidell

* It's round 2 of the Ultimate Fighting Championship feud between Chuck Liddell (above) and Tito Ortiz. Expect a sell-out crowd at MGM's Grand Garden Arena with porn-princess Jenna Jameson front-row rooting for her new squeeze Tito! We'll see whether their steamy physical workouts strengthened or weakened his powers! These 2 fighters have an immense loathing of each other so be sure the fireworks will roar one-day earlier than planned!

* Direct from its ABC-TV smash ratings hit the winners and losers of 'Dancing with the Stars' waltz and foxtrot their way into the Thomas & Mack Center on the 38 city tour, and some members of the audience might be lucky enough to twirl the floor with Harry Hamlin, Drew Lachey and Jerry Springer! Interestingly enough the stars even have to pay for their family and friends to be in the audience because the promoters wouldn't give them "comp" tickets!

* Pop-heart-throb and Luxor restaurant investor Nick Lachey starts his New Year's Weekend with MTV gal pal Vanessa Minnello in tow at PURE nightclub in Caesars Palace.

* Rock and roll legend, Van Morrison ranked one of the most influential vocalists in music history is the headliner at Mandalay Bay. For more than 40-yearts he's captivated with music combinations of R&B, jazz, blues and even Celtic folk!

* The Mick Fleetwood Band step out of the past and into the newly-named South Point resort the night before New Years.

* Joe Rogan is a familiar TV face who trades in his adventures in front of the camera for the fans at the House of Blues.

Dec. 31

britney Spears and Pamela Anderson

* 7 Strip hotels and Fremont Street downtown will light up the sky with fireworks at the stroke of midnight with over 300,000 revelers on hand to welcome the year of Bond- 2007! DirecTV hosts its 4-hour + music special with Five for Fighting, Smash Mouth, Chicago and those youtube jogging-machine sensations OK Go on the main Fremont Street stage.

* All eyes will be on pop-princess Britney Spears as she performs the midnight countdown duties at Caesars Palace on the outdoor patio of PURE nightclub overlooking the crowded Strip fireworks show. Will she keep her panties on? Will a new beau be in tow? All, I do know is that she's booked 5-hours of beauty treatments at the resorts new QUA spa that day to look stunning and gorgeous to welcome in the New Year!

* Our other royal, Prince throws the ultimate experience at his 3121 jazz restaurant and Rio showroom for a mere $1000 which includes, after a 6-course dinner, stage-side VIP tables to watch him perform up close. You also get to keep the commemorative champagne glasses after the champagne toast!

* Tattooed drummer-singer Tommy Lee started it as a TV reality show but the winner who beat out 14 other rock vocalists, Lukas Rossi joins the new Rock Star: Supernova for 2 nights at the Hard Rock. Supernova also features Guns 'n' Roses guitarist Gilby Clark and Metallica's former bass player Jason Newsted.

* His former ladylove, sexy single Pamela Anderson will be host for the big blowout bonanza bash at TAO in The Venetian. Last time she was there she kicked off her shoes and jumped into one of the nearly-nude model bath-tubs!

dave Navarro and Kid Rock

* Across the Strip within 50-yards are her former loves Dave Navarro at Tangerine in TI and newly-separated husband Kid Rock at JET in the Mirage rocking in the New Year on stage singing and in the DJ booth playing records. Dave was the last-minute replacement for Nicole Richie who canceled out her 10-1 countdown because of last week's DUI arrest for driving the wrong way on the 134 Freeway in Hollywood at 5am!!! Grand Master Flash will play the turntables for Dave's appearance.

* My friend, soul singer Lionel Richie makes smooth as silk songs the secret ingredient of his concert in the Blue Man Theater at The Venetian.

* Comedy actor Vince Vaughn, newly-split with love Jennifer Aniston, has time on his hands to do two shows of his Wild West Comedy at Mandalay Bay, emceeing 4 guest-star comics from Hollywood's Comedy Store

* Hugh Hefner and the Girls Next Door will appear live at midnight via satellite from the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles to countdown the New Year with Playmate of the Year Kara Monaco and Miss May 2006, Alison Waite live at the Playboy Club in the Palms. Over at ghostbar in the original Palms' resort tower is Good Charlotte's Joel Madden playing celebrity DJ!

Playboy Club Las Vegas

* They have a cult following from NY to LA with their off-the-wall approach to music and The Dan Band will bring in New Years at the House of Blues in their very own off-the-wall way.

* Party with and like a rock star. It's a unique celebration with Hootie & The Blowfish because following their concert premium ticket holders at the Silverton get to join Darius Rucker and his musical trio for their own champagne post party in their Shady grove Lounge.

* The very sexy very scandalous very stirring Vegas Dolls present their all-girl cabaret show at the Palms and will make their midnight champagne toast sizzle and sparkle.

* The wonderful performance artists and dancers of the 5 Vegas Cirque du Soleil shows will entertain and host the midnight champagne party set for the LIGHT Nightclub in the Belllagio.

* Righteous brother Bill Medley entertains and hosts the dinner guests with some special surprises at newly-named South Point.

* Singer comedians Marty Allen and Karon Kate Blackwell entertain the merrymakers at the Gold Coast.

* The famed Guy Lombardo Royal Canadian Orchestra plays for the New Year's extravaganza up at the Suncoast while the Vincent Falcone Orchestra does the black-tie ballroom bash at The Orleans.
