As the New Year approaches we take stock in our achievements and how to
set realistic goals for the upcoming year. It ties in with the concept
that we make a New Year’s Resolution. Using the Principles of Feng Shui
instead you could set your “intention” for what is to manifest in the
New Year. An intention is about clearly stating in the present tense
what area of your life needs the most improvement. If it is weight loss
then write down: “I see myself eating a balanced diet to achieve the
optimal weight I feel the best at.” To help manifest your intentions in
the Feng Shui school of thought, there are areas of your home to
correspond to areas of your life. Your health and family sector for
your weight loss intention falls on the left/middle side of your home,
condo or townhouse as you are facing your front door. It is represented
by the Wood element and is enhanced with the colors of blue and green,
wood furniture, or a photo of yourself at your ideal weight.
If your intention is to attract a partner into your life, then think of
the personality traits you want in your ideal mate, set your intention
and clear any clutter out of the upper right hand corner while facing
your front door. This is the “love/relationship” sector and represents
the element of Earth. Any paintings/photos of happy couples, heart
shaped frames, or the colors pink or gold work well in this area.
Remember, you want to attract the right partner, so make room for this
person. If it is your family room, place two chairs and a cozy setting
to welcome Mr. or Ms. Right.
Be sure these areas are devoid of clutter and really “feel” how your
home flows when you enter the front door. Use your front door
occasionally to allow fresh energy to come in. Be sure to write your
intention, after serious reflection, on a piece of paper that you place
in the corresponding sector. Most of all, welcome in the New Year with
a sense of peace and well-being!!
