Peter Banks has been a professional entertainer since he was 17 years old. In 1998 when the first Austin Powers film was released Peter was entertaining at the Florida Film Festival in Orlando. A reporter told him that he looked like Austin Powers and within no time, Peter had perfected the Austin Powers  character and became the top Austin Powers celebrity look a like in the country. Peter also became the featured Austin Powers look a like on  national TV for the Jenny Jones show in Chicago, and was featured on the show many times. While living in Orlando Peter was involved in charity work for the “Variety Club” and the “Make a Wish Foundation”.

In 2001 after an appearance in Las Vegas, Peter decided to make the city that never sleeps his home. Over the past 4 years Peter has established himself as one of Las Vegas' top celebrity look a likes and entertainers.

Besides his live stage show, DJ show, Karaoke show and his Meet & Greet, Peter also performs at wedding ceremonies as Austin Powers at one of Las Vegas' major wedding chapels.

Peter made many appearances on local TV in 2004. He co-hosted the Children’s Miracle Network Telethon on Fox 5, and co-hosted the live New Year’s Eve Party on KVBC TV channel 3. In March 2005 he produced a major charity night for KVBC TV Channel 3  in aid of ” Habitat for Humanity”, and in November Peter produced a celebrity look a like charity event in aid of the Katrina victims and hurricane relief. Peter is also a regular supporter of the 355th chemical company and the United States Army Reserve, entertaining at their events including the Army children’s Christmas party.

In 2005 Peter won 3 major industry awards. In January, at the Reel Awards in L.A.  Peter won the award for “Best TV performance” for his New Year’s Eve show on KVBC channel 3, and also won the “Humanitarian Award” for his charity work in August 2005 at the I.G.C.I.T.A. convention were he also won the award for “Best TV performance.” Peter was also the presenter of the Live Aid Charity Awards.

Peter will once again be one of the hosts for this coming New Years Eve Show on KVBC Channel 3 TV, and in the new year, Peter will be featured in his own TV show on UPN Channel 14 called, “Peter Banks Crazy in Las Vegas.” The theme of the show will be, where the locals can go, in a tourist town.

Peter has also accepted the position of coordinator of special events with an organization that promotes the “celebrity look a like industry” world wide called the “Entertainment Network”.
