The Checkmates are constantly evolving in their efforts to provide

renowned Checkmates, winner's of numerous "Best Lounge Act"
awards in Las Vegas, are still electrifying audiences.
The Checkmates consists of lead vocalists Sonny Charles and Sweet
Louie. Singer, songwriter, and record producer Sonny Charles'
distinctive vocal and style of entertainment creates a charged
atmosphere of high energy, raw power, and musical excitement that
generates an enthusiastic acclaim from his loyal growing audience.
Singer, actor, and disc jockey Sweet Louie is bubbly, radiant, and
always smiling. Louie's vivacious charm has blessed him with several
national television commercials for mainstream companies, such as
Toyota, Kool-Aid, and Bic Pens to name a few. |

The Checkmates continue, to entertain, mesmerize, captivate,
enchant, charm, be- guile, and delight their audiences with a
performance that transports them back and forth in time with hits
from the, '60s, '70s, '80s, '90s, and the contemporary current
decade of 2000. They sing the soulful, legendary tunes of Motown,
Rock & Roll, Rhythm & Blues, and the romantic soothing sounds of the
ballads for which they are famous. During their performances they
strut, jump, moon-walk, and showcase a variety of cool, smooth moves
incorporating into their act their knack for dancing.
