I have a confession; despite being The
Three Time Undefeated Las Vegas Hot Dog Eating Champ, I have always loved
hamburgers. Hot Dogs are wonderful, but there is only so much you can do
with a wiener. Hamburgers can be more gratifying, good hamburgers are made
from the best prime steak. Of course you must want to eat prime meat.
The bare essentials, Hamburgers must be
cooked medium rare, just like a good steak. If you order an overcooked
hamburger, have a Hot Dog, you are no meat eater. Next comes a Toasted
Seeded Bun, I love good buns. Toasting the bun keeps it firm, and prevents
it from getting too soggy. Who doesn’t like firm buns?
With the rare meat, and the firm buns, next
come the extras. They are many distinctive Hamburgers, and each extra makes
a Hamburger unique. I like the Standard Burger because it gives me the most
meat taste. Here are a few extras I like, a big slice of Tomato, very good
Dill Pickles, big slice of a Hot Bermuda Onion. I never use Mustard or, but
sometimes I do like a little Ketchup and Mayonnaise.
I have eaten all kinds of Hamburgers,
everywhere in America, and parts of the world. As stated above, there are
some important items that going into making a great Hamburger. It’s no easy
task. I’ve paid big money for a very disappointing Hamburger. I wish I
could remember the place between Houston and Galveston that made great
Hamburgers, for a few bucks.
Where do you go in Las Vegas for a truly
great Hamburger? This place has been on the corner of Tropicana and Eastern
for over 25 years. Beautiful woman scantly clad serving great Hamburgers
for a few bucks. Do you know the place? The Dispensary Lounge of course.
For $3.95 you get a ½ pound of great meat on a great bun, with all the
extras mentioned above. In addition, the Hamburger is served on top of the
best French Fries. Wow that’s living.
