EXTRA: Britney And Kevin Keep On Keepin' On!

America's favorite couple, Britney Spears and Kevin Federline, apparently thought one night turning out the town in Las Vegas was not enough, so they came back to Sin City's hottest nightspot TAO Las Vegas last night (Wed. March 22) for more! ( click here or scroll down for our previous journal on their first night in town, and see some shots inside TAO below...)
Still celebrating Kevin's 28th birthday, the couple arrived at the Venetian club at 11:45PM with four friends, and took the biggest VIP booth in the TAO Lounge for their uber hip Wednesday party SUTRA -- Kevin in his signature blazer, jeans and hat look, and Britney almost matching in a white fedora, black lace print shirt and jeans.
As a surprise to Kevin, Britney had arranged a rather "special" performance. One of Kevin's friends got on the mic, announced his birthday and introduced a surprise performance from "Cher!" What the packed house got was a very robust female impersonator lip synching "If I Could Turn Back Time." Needless to say, the crowd went wild, and Britney and Kevin were cracking up. As the crowd roared, next came a little person dressed as Sonny Bono to complete the serenade with "Cher," for "I Got You Babe."
Afterwards, the group partied to hip hop sounds with 2 bottles of Cristal champagne and 2 bottles of Jack Daniels on their VIP table. As the DJ spun Britney's hit "I'm a Slave 4 U," Kevin danced it up and the crowd screamed -- though Britney herself missed the performance while on a trip to the ladies' room. At 1:30AM this morning, Kevin popped over to the DJ booth to slip the mixmaster a copy of his forthcoming album. The DJ started with the first track, a mid tempo rap song. But the second song he played was a "club banger," and the crowd really got into it. Considering lyrics like "Baby I'm a rock star, I do what I wanna do, I play what I wanna play..." it certainly sounds like Kevin is really living it up... After a few more drinks, the gang left TAO at 2AM. It was a special birthday, indeed (click here for our inside look at TAO)...
You will notice, however, that we don't have any pictures for you from last night -- and there's a good reason for that. As a source in TAO's management explained to me, any time any photographer -- or just a clubgoer who had a camera -- got even 15 feet near them on either Tuesday or Wednesday night, one of their eight security guards was shining a flashlight in their faces, so anybody taking pix just gets the bright flashlight beams in their photo... Maybe it's worth the cost of such a staff to avoid any unwanted tabloid pix -- but note that during his visit last week here, even Veep Al Gore only had three secret service guards!
By the way, if you've got your own hot club, be it in Cleveland, San Diego or Schenectady, you too can host a similar listening party with Kevin and company for a mere $12G -- plus expenses for three people (guess who?) -- as K-Fed's just made himself available through a celeb booking agency. No details on who pays the security guards...
While we're speaking of amusing couples, tonight (Thu. March 23) there’s a one-night-only show at the Rio with 'Whose Line is it Anyway?' stars Colin Moochrie and Brad Sherwood, sure to tickle your funnybones (on purpose!) with incredible improv... Faithful readers will note we promised you an intimate Vegas dinner conversation with 'Dynasty' star Joan Collins, revealing details of the Carringtons' reunion, and her new show with co-star Linda Evans. We apologise that the Spears-Federline party posse pushed us back a bit -- but tomorrow, set your watch by it, we'll have Joan right here!
