Bill Acosta

This month Vegas Community Online would like to honor Bill Acosta

We at VCO would like to congratulate and join Bill in celebrating 40 years in show business!  That's quite a milestone. Bravo Bill!

The Denver Post quotes, "The Man of 1001 Voices, remarkable!" the Las Vegas Visitor compares his vocal phrasing to that of Sinatra. Raised in New Orleans and in his fourth decade of Show business, Acosta's kaleidoscope of talent combines the gambit of vocal style, celebrity impressions and comedy to awe audiences of all ages.

Mr. Acosta's endless talents have now been packaged in a Las Vegas Style musical revue. Fall of '97 marked the launch of Lasting Impressions, a star-studded extravaganza. Quotes like, "A TRIUMPHANTLY STYLISH REVUE", "ACOSTA IS A MASTER SINGING-IMPRESSIONIST!" & "AN IMPRESSIONIST TO TOP ALL IMPRESSIONIST", "HIS FRANK SINATRA IS THE BEST ON THE STRIP" summarizes just some of the reactions generated by this international artists talents.

This international artist's recent credits are numerous. Bill is the emcee-host of a new TV show, Las Vegas Up Close. Acosta's celebrity voices are a staple on radio stations from coast to coast. You can hear him on Toon Disney Channel as the voice of Leonardo Di Vinci and Tecumseh. Mr. Acosta has just completed the 4-day, standing room only, largest ethnic fest in the country, Festa Italiana!

Bill is currently cruising for a title. Yes, in addition to guest artist appearances aboard cruise ships, Acosta has begun writing a book! The works of entertainers, a book of tales that has yet to be titled, will detail specific chronicles of not only Acosta's career, but those of a select few of his celebrity friends currently working the Las Vegas Strip.

Contracted well into 2008, the talents of Bill Acosta will be seen in Canada, Atlantic City, Australia, Athens, Rome, Iceland, Chicago and in showrooms in Las Vegas either as a concert performance or with his Las Vegas Revue, Lasting Impressions.

Bill states:

“After 40yrs in the business of show, I don’t think I’ve ever appreciated the workings of the human body more!

Seriously, I'm not getting older, I’m getting better. Or should I say more appreciative of my industry. Lyrics to a song have different meanings, lighting in a scene now creates emotional depth and a genuine smile from a fan is a warmer hug then performances in the past. Every time I finish a show it’s just one more blessing I can count. How lucky am I to have been able to perform and make a career of entertaining. Thanks”
