Luxe Life Scoop Paris
and Matt in Vegas: Round 2
No
sooner did the new romance-couple go public with their hugs and kisses
canoodling in the Pure nightclub at Caesars Palace earlier this week (as
Luxe Life exclusively predicted and reported -- click here for the love-links)
than Paris Hilton and Matt Leinart might
be back here again this weekend.
They're expected to join younger sister Nicky Hilton and her
boyfriend, ‘Entourage’ actor Kevin Connelly amongst a
constellation of celebrities flying in for the unique Saturday night block
party that hotel-basketball mogul George Maloof is throwing
on two floors at his hip-hot The Palms resort and casino. It’s a giant celebration for
the official opening of his new Fantasy Tower and the groundbreaking
of his third tower at Palms Place, a condo-hotel complex.
As of 12.01am this morning, here's the guest list: Avril Lavigne,
Travis Barker, The Killers, Seth
Green, Shannon Elizabeth, Nick Stahl,
Lance Bass, Matt Sorum, Jeremy
Pivan plus numerous other Hollywood tv-series stars. Its also
possible Kid Rock will stay for the shindig. He checked into one
of the Fantasy Towers suites a week ago for
his two back-to-back concerts and loves the mega-suites so much he hasn't
checked out yet!!!
The star-studded Block Party will let celebs cruise through seven different
themed hotel suites ranging from bowling with two lanes in the Kingpin Suite to
the fogged windows, mirrored ceilings, stripper pole and revolving bed in the
Erotic Suite, to the Hardwood Suite -- the only in-room basketball court in the
world.
George told Luxe Life when we filmed an AOL Video exclusive in the
new Playboy suites complete with glass-floored spa-pools that hang over the building:
" This is the first annual Fantasy Suite Block Party and we'll turn it
into an every-year-blast. These unique suites are unlike anything ever seen in
any hotel anywhere on the planet. The celebs are going to have the best weekend
of their lives." Read on further for more details of the
amazing upcoming Vegas weekend.
A
Brand New (500) Days

It’s another of those wild insane, out-of-control and star-packed Vegas weekends
as the whole town celebrates Cinqo de Mayo. Fingers are crossed that
super-star singer Celine Dion won’t be felled by sickness
for her planned Sunday night 500th performance because she’s
donating the entire proceeds of the $1 million night to ten Vegas charities.
However,
there’s growing medical concern for the Canadian songbird that had to cancel several
shows over the past two weeks due to medical problems. A viral illness
that she successfully battled left her with inner ear-problems that led to her
suffering from vertigo – and the labyrinthitis causes imbalance while she’s
been on stage doing the complicated dance-run numbers.
Celine
vows she’ll be onstage at Caesars Palace Sunday night saying that she feels it
her duty to give back to the community she now calls home: “Vegas has been very
kind and wonderful to me and our family. We have really been welcomed here and made
to feel an important part of it all. I wanted to do something special to say
thankyou and the million-dollar gift shared between ten
local charities seemed to be a great way to show our appreciation.”
Incidentally,
Celine may well appear with Hilton headliner Barry Manilow when
the ‘Oceans 13’ movie sequel we told you about first exclusively here in Luxe
Life starts filming here for three months in August with Al Pacino
playing casino boss, Willie Banks.
Fantasy Island

First though today, two dreams come true
for Palms resort owner George Maloof and his family. At lunchtime, Clark County
Commissioner Lynette Boggs McDonald (she’s headed our Keep
Memory Alive organization and is a former Miss America working on bringing the
pageant back to Vegas for a new 3-year-run) and the hotel-basketball mogul will
preside over the groundbreaking ceremony of Palms Place -- the final
installment of his resort’s $650 million expansion. The 50-story condominium,
hotel and spa project will have a unique SkyTube with moving walkway to take residents
into the hotel’s restaurants and nightclubs!

Then
“fantasy becomes reality” for George with the official opening of his new $200 million
Fantasy Tower with its provocative
out-of-this-world unique play suites. He’s throwing a Block Party tomorrow which starts with
Playboy’s May centerfold Alison Waite on hand from 1-3PM for autographs. She’ll then introduce the Playboy Comedy
Tour at 8PM with the Fantasy party getting underway
at 9PM. George and I chatted this week in
one of the new super-luxury, upper-floor Sky Villas, complete with
glass-floored pool that lets guests swim out over the edge of the building! It
was the first time they’d been filmed which you’ll see only here in the next
few weeks on an episode of Luxe Life for our AOL Vegas Videos. To say
“wow-magnificent-unique-unbelievable” still doesn’t do justice. They truly are
the most incredible hotel suites anywhere in the world!

Gumball
3000
For the past week, a group of eccentric crazed thrill-seeking adventurers have
been racing 3000 miles across three continents, and now they are set to hit Vegas
Saturday, around 6PM. It’s the Gumball 3000
with Vegas natives Carey Hart and Pink
actually hard-driving a beautiful Bentley and skateboard legend Tony
Hawk in a Land Rover hoping to wind up in LA on Sunday. Also amongst
the 120 vehicles is a purple Lamborghini driven by MTV’s Bam Margera
and Ryan Dunn from ‘Jackass’ that rocker Billy Idol
used a chain saw on to carve out the sunroof! Some racers ride million-dollar
vehicles while others use VW campers which are hauled around in planes and
boats to each continent.

On
hand at the Hard Rock Hotel’s halfway home checkpoint line will be Vegas’ own Motley
Crue front-man Vince Neil coming in from his 10th
anniversary Skylar Neil Memorial Golf Tournament up in Lost Canyons, Simi
Valley. He raises money to fight children’s illnesses in his daughter’s name, who
he lost to stomach cancer in 1995.
The
Doggfather
Controversial
Snoop Dogg himself will give a welcome concert in The Joint
at midnight. Luxe Life
has followed the zany auto fanatics since they left Trafalgar Square in London on Sunday for the first
leg to Belgium. Monday saw them whoosh
from Vienna to Budapest to end the first
thousand miles of the European continent.
Yesterday,
they fast-hauled the 1000 miles from Phuket to Bangkok for the Asian continent
leg. Today, they’ll fly into Salt Lake City for the final 1000 miiles of the
North American run which after Vegas on Sunday, will take them through Death
Valley to Rodeo Drive and onto the Playboy Mansion where Hugh Hefner
and his Playmates host the trip’s wind-down party with Lenny Kravitz
and Blink 182’s Travis Barker.
