Oh how could we
… When we wrote about the Neon Chefs battle taking place at
G2E next month pitting the Bellagio F&B
team against the MGM Grand F&B team we forgot to mention one of the
judges. Our bad, Tao chef de cuisine, Josh
‘Moses’ Thomsen will also be one of the judges alongside
Krispy Kreme Doughnuts CEO Lincoln Spoor and Wynn Las Vegas F&B
honcho Maurice Wooden.
In other
G2E news, The DUKES are a high-energy, 6-man jazz
band with roots deep in the 20th century that continues to keep the
traditional New Orleans sound fresh into the 21st. In a few weeks,
New Orleans’ Own DUKES of Dixieland will be providing the
entertainment for the opening of the Global Gaming Expo,
which convenes gaming professionals from around the world
each November, covering products, ideas, and technology advances in
the casino-entertainment business.
We’re
hearing rumors that have former Miss Teen USA Pageant winner,
Vanessa Minnillo preparing for an appearance with
The Pussycat Dolls burlesque troupe. Spies whisper
that Nick Lachey’s latest love is expected at PURE
Nightclub sometime around November 10th. If all is true, Minnillo
would be adding her name to a pretty impressive list of hotties that
have stopped in to perform with the PC Dolls including
Pamela Anderson and Denise Richards.

Hey Mike,
we listened, enrolled and voted for you in your pretty boy model
search but if you win, we’re going to hold you to your promise of
ending world hunger and stopping Lindsey Lohan.
Just ask Pauly Shore what can happen if you don’t …
Just kidding Mike, ya looked great!
Since we’re
serving up shout-out’s, a little love to our Hard Rockin buddy,
RJ Demman, who got married in Cabo San Lucas,
Mexico last week. “Not much American news down here, so keep the
good stuff coming,” the high rolling honcho wrote in an email last
week, “There’s nothing like sitting on a balcony in Cabo, watching
the hurricane roll in and reading the Eye!” Sounds good to us …

We’re
hearing rumors that gentlemen’s club czar Dennis DeGori
isn’t satisfied with his current portfolio which already includes
SCORES Las Vegas, SCORES Chicago
and an up-coming SCORES Los Angeles outlet which
will replace an existing gentlemen’s club ironically named Score.
Rumors we hear have DeGori deep in negotiations to take control of
Sin Gentlemen’s Club (Russell and Polaris) as well
as another gentlemen’s club in New York City. When approached for
comment the usually affable DeGori clammed up with a “no comment.”
Speaking of
SCORES Las Vegas, Miss October Playmate, Tamara Witmer

pictures. Also this past week, SCORES made an appearance on the

The back
and forth battle between downtown big wigs and the homeless
continues to seesaw. After a local judge declared that a city law
against feeding the homeless in city parks was unconstitutional the
city quickly announced a plan to appeal the decision. The American
Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) applauded the decision and argued that
the city should not be able to enforce the law until the appeal is
heard.

"There's
no question in our minds that as more and more Chinese customers
experience Macao, their natural curiosity is going to make them find
out what the major leagues are like in Las Vegas," MGM Mirage
spokesman Alan Feldman told the Los Angeles
Times this past weekend for an article focusing on Las
Vegas’ growing ability and interest in catering to Asian high
rollers. “There is a very widespread awakening to the value of the
Asian market to our tourism-based economy," added Chris
Chrystal of the Nevada Commission on Tourism.
"They stay longer and they like to spend money." Interesting …
Speaking of
the Asian gaming, Palace Station’s ‘Pit 8’
which features Pai Gow Poker, Pai Gow Tiles and Mini Baccarat is
known as their Asian gaming pit. Beginning on November 1st, Pit 8
will be the first casino in Las Vegas to offer tableside
food service with a traditional noodle menu available
everyday from 6pm-midnight. “Casino’s in Asia and card rooms in
California provide this service on a regular basis,” said Rich
Slack, Vice President of Asian Marketing for Station Casinos.
“We are doing this to provide our Pit 8 guests with the best
service. They can have the food they enjoy without having to leave
the table.” Kind of weird this idea is unveiled at Palace Station
but we’re sure casino bosses along the Strip would point out they
have provided similar service within their private, high-end gaming
salons for years. Palace Station will be the first to take the
concept to the public.

made his debut at Tabu, keeping the adrenaline and hands sky high on
the dance floor until the early morning hours.
You know we
love our southern queen, Nightclub & Bar empress Jennifer
Robinson, who was spotted in Las Vegas
again last week as her plans for the upcoming Nightclub & Bar
Convention continue to come together. She was spotted at
Nove (Palms) in an animated discussion with N9NE
Group marketing man Mike ‘The Funkler’ Fuller, before
enjoying the sights and sounds of the Playboy Club
and taking a private tour of Moon Nightclub, hmm …
Happy
upcoming birthday to Michelle Dell, Vegas’ most
hog’n heifer and the proprietor of downtown’s Hogs & Heifers.
The dancing queen celebrates her special day on November 6th. Also
that day one of our very favorite PR gals turns one year younger
when the Four Seasons’ Adeana Shendal celebrates
her birthday.
Jimmy
Buffet fans and “Parrotheads” had another reason to celebrate on
Saturday as the annual entertainment event, “Parrot’s
Paradise” returned to the pool at the MGM Grand.
Synergy, the classic rock band, performed poolside during the day in
perfect weather while the beautiful Parrot Girls and other
entertainment kept the party rockin’ into the night.

Palms Karaoke Lounge (the number #1 rated karaoke lounge in Las
Vegas according to the Las Vegas RJ’s Best Of Poll - 2006) on

out to a track or two while celebrating. Have you ever seen a
multi-platinum recording artist sing karaoke? Us either, that’s
reason enough to show up. The Golden Palms Karaoke Lounge is located
