Ahh.. Thanksgiving, that American holiday
celebrated only in America by Americans, (also
by Canadians but at a different time and different name)
to remind us of the small things for which we “should” but not always “do”
consider blessings.
So please remind ourselves that there are
“thanks worth giving”.
Remind the conservatives who lost their place
in congress to be thankful they don’t live in a third world country where
losing an election means losing your head.
Remind the new citizens who complain about the
summer heat that we don’t have tornados, hurricanes or snow to shovel.
Remind the workers who gripe about their
shift, employee’s cafeteria and tips that they have a job.
Remind those of us who complain about the
traffic and the price of gas that we have a car.
And for those who simply cannot focus on
anything positive this time of year, remember…You could be a 25 pound turkey
on a ranch in Turlock, California and have no idea what it’s all about.
