NOTICE: Important National Security Rally—
Saturday, Oct. 21!

CLEARLY THE NUMBER one issue, above all others, is our security! Locally, State-wide, Nationally and Internationally—we must first secure the nation and our liberties here at home and abroad. But, have you noticed how little coverage either party has actually given to addressing the many facets of this major concern? Where are the major party leaders going with this campaign cycle? Why are they not listening to the will of the people and directing their priorities in accord with the issues the people find most pressing today?

Because they are more concerned about winning the elections than addressing the people's problems by asking the right questions and developing sound solutions so they can actually do something—like govern responsibly! Instead, what are we hearing? "The Blame Game" and more of the same old "Fear and Smear" and "Trash Talking" and, now, out-and-out blatant lying on the part of too many!

I think, it's because some of our senior leaders, in both major parties, are simply scared to take the political risk of raising the really serious issues. Also, I think, many are ashamed, knowingly guilty and in a state of denial! So, what have they done? They've asked themselves their favorite question: "Where's The Easy Button?"—and come to the erroneous conclusion, again, to do nothing, and hope the people don't notice, or, if the people do notice—then, hope they don't make too much of a fuss about it!

The main stream media has failed the people also, failing to fully focus on the war in Iraq, (though they give it a lot of basic, generic coverage), but the media isn't covering the tough questions! The media has continued to fail to address the hard questions, and follow-up, on how and why America became involved, again, in an immoral, illegal, unjust, pre-emptive war! The MSM has nearly forgotten to cover much of anything about Afghanistan—the troops now call it "Forgot-istan! " And have you noticed the deafening silence about the thousands of our wounded and disabled veterans coming home?

So, again, it is left to the people to raise their voices—and tomorrow will be a real public opportunity to do just that! Everyone is invited to attend this FREE event:

National Security Rally with President Jimmy Carter and the 2006 Nevada Democratic "Challengers for Change"

Jack Carter for Senate
Dina Titus for Governor and
Tessa Hafen for Congress.

WHEN: 12:00 noon, Saturday, October 21st, 2006
(the first day of Early GOTV)

WHERE: At UNLV, outside the Student Union
in the Alumni Amphitheater

I am so thankful for President Jimmy Carter who has written a new book titled "Our Endangered Values" addressing these very concerns—I strongly recommend everyone read it soon! President Carter's writing style is very clear, easy to read and comprehend. In this book he outlines the history of our American values, including the tenants of the great American Just War Tradition. In that, America should only go to war as an absolute last resort—after all political and diplomatic efforts have been exhausted, an objective National Intelligence Estimate has been reviewed based on the known facts (not undermined for personal profit and "cherry picked" with fiction), and a clear and present danger has been determined that must be responded to militarily—to include comprehensive plans for winning the war, providing for the peace, restoring civil law and re-building the infrastructures destroyed by the inevitable collateral damage. President Carter also covers the Constitutional history of why America should not engage in pre-emptive wars—this one book will bring everyone up to speed on these current events.

Jack Carter was the first candidate to come out boldly stating his Constitutionally based position on waging war—and speaking up for our disabled veterans, saying that "The VA Budget is non-negotiable!" Nevada State Senate Minority Leader, Dina Titus is running for Governor and believes strongly that the National Guard should be here at home guarding the nation—what a novel idea! Tessa Hafen has courageously addressed how the Republicans have bungled all things military—including how they have talked out of both sides of their mouths, saying 'they support the troops' and 'veterans'—but, in fact, have voted against funding for protective equipment and cut the VA budget time, and time, again!

Please pass this on to everyone you know that truly cares about America, our military and our veterans! Send it through your personal e-mail circle of family and friends—we want a large crowd present—and it may be the only opportunity to show your real support for the troops before the election! It's time for the people to hear the truth—and have their say!
