The Clark County
Republican Party is all about Getting involved, electing Republican
candidates, streamlining government and making it more accountable. Less
government, less taxes and taking more personal responsibility are part
of the fundamental principles of our party. By working together with the
party we identify and elect conservative candidates that reflect our
views. If you are searching for change in our government and want to
help promote conservative values then we need you. With each election
completed, there is little time to waste in finding quality candidates
for the next election cycle. Join us in making the new millennium a
success for conservatives who cherish our freedoms.
The County Party is
affiliated with a number of local Republican clubs that support the
CCRP’s efforts to elect candidates to local, state and federal
positions. Among these are the Republican Toastmaster’s Club, The Spring
Mountain Republican Women, Republican Women of Henderson, Clark County
Young Republicans, Black Republican Roundtable, the Republican Men’s
Club, Active Republican Women of Las Vegas, Republican Women of Las
Vegas, Boulder City Republican Women and others. All of these are listed
on the Clark County Republican Party website at:
www.clarkgop.org.
While Clark County
Republicans comprise about 70-percent of the total registered Republican
voters in the State of Nevada, the remaining 30-percent are critically
important and not to be taken for granted in any statewide election.
CCRP, like the 16 other county GOP organizations, is a voting member of
the Nevada Republican Party; which in turn is a voting member of the
Republican National Committee.
A Precinct Committeeman
and Committeewoman is elected or appointed for each county precinct, and
is in turn a member of the Clark County Republican Central
Committee. Clark County has about 1000 precincts and there are
always Precinct Committeeman and Committeewoman positions open.
The Clark County
Republican Central Committee meets monthly at Arizona Charlie’s on
Decatur. The November meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m., Tuesday, November
15th. For more information call the County Office at (702)
258-9184.
