Colorado born and raised, Rick
made his way to Las Vegas in 1983 where a career in dealing
lasted about 5 years and was followed shortly by a move to
radio. Rick was most fortunate to be a member of the first
coast-to-coast sports talk radio network as The Sports and
Entertainment Network took flight. Rick hosted several
successful sports talk shows from some of the most recognizable
venues on earth, not the least of which was Caesars Palace.
Rick has written for several magazines and his skill and passion
for photography has allowed him to witness and chronicle some of
the most defining moments in sports history including more than
300 world championship fights, Major League Baseball, USA
Basketball, The Arena Football League, NASCAR racing and the Pro
Bull Riders World Finals.
Rick's resumé also includes NCAA
basketball, baseball, and football, Freestyle Moto X World
Championships, the Ultimate Fighting Championships and PRIDE
Fighting as well as the World Series Of Poker. Rick is a
former member of Boxing USA Colorado Board Of Directors and has
coached and been an administrator for many youth sports teams
and leagues. There is very little of a sporting nature that
doesn't interest Rick or that Rick doesn't make more
interesting. Rick is an acknowledged expert in the world of
sports and gaming and his ability to share that expertise with a
very wide variety of sports fans and gamblers, from the wizened
pros to the most novice of newcomers, makes him one of the most
unique personalities in this field.
Rick has been most fortunate to
have eaten at some time or another, in some of the finest
restaurants in the world, most of which are located right here
in Las Vegas. He has the names and numbers of many fine chefs,
sommeliers, nightclub managers and other major players in the
nightlife scene in his rolodex/cell phone and have hosted them
on many of his various shows. Rick has learned how to roll
sushi and cigars and how to make wonderful desserts during the
course of his forays into the world of eating and entertainment.
Rick will be covering a plethora of venues and bring his fun personality to the community with great reviews, columns, photos and more. |
