Paris Hilton and Travis Barker in Bed Together; Plus the Labor Day Edition of Robin's Royal RundownThursday, August 31, 2006
What a lady tells her
hairdresser is supposed to be one of the best kept secrets of mankind!!!
But you just knew I'd have to find out what Nicky Hilton
told her colorist Michael Boychuck this week here in
Vegas!!! Now congratulations are in order for Michael who has been tending the tresses
of Nicky for several years, because he's been tapped by the heiress to be her
partner in the hair salons she's putting into her new boutique hotel chain
initially set to open in New York, Miami and Chicago, and to eventually roll
out across America.
Michael has been caring for Nicky and her sister, Paris, even before he opened the
chic-hip AMP Salon at the Palms, where they've both been regular clients. He's
also the Salon Director at the Canyon Ranch Spa in The Venetian and co-owns The
Cutting Room in nearby Henderson.
(You can click here to read Michael's guest column about "hairstyle
secrets of the stars" that he wrote for Luxe Life while
I was away in Italy
earlier this summer.)
All eyes were on Paris Hilton during her CD Release Party/Beacher's Rockhouse grand opening.
The official announcement about Michael's new hotel-salon deal with
Nicky will be made right after the Labor Day weekend but, meantime,
Nicky's hotel executives gave it the green-light GO yesterday! Said Michael:
"It is a real honor. I feel very lucky and blessed. You couldn't ask
to work with two nicer ladies than Nicky and Paris. We've always had fun creating new
styles, new looks, new colors and they are the hottest most popular of today's
young stars. I'm so happy they chose me as their stylist in Vegas and Los Angeles. Now we're
going into business together and they'll be able to have my services at
whichever one of their new Nicky hotels they decide to stay at."
Meantime, it was near dawn yesterday, that big-sister wrapped up the
celebration of Paris Hilton Day in Las Vegas and we've got the full rundown of
what happened at PURE after Luxe Life's troops had to call
it a night; Paris just went on rocking!!! Fans are even asking if the long
pre-dawn tete-a-tete she had with former Blink 182 drummer and the
newly-separated Travis Barker sparked something. Wearing a
Cavalli dress and Christian Louboutin shoes, Paris headed straight to the
DJ booth, grabbed the microphone and greeted the crowd, “What’s up PURE, you’re
here for my CD release party!” and then proceeded to request songs for DJ
Hollywood to play. After a Patron shot pit stop at her adjoining VIP bed, Paris
went to the railing overlooking the dance floor and to Shakira’s 'Hips Don’t
Lie,' performed a sultry dance which had fans' flashbulbs lit a furious, frenetic,
frazzled frenzy.
Paris Hilton holds court Tuesday night during the opening of Beacher's Rockhouse.
While her hit Billboard charts single 'Stars Are Blind' played, she reached
over the railing to sign autographs -- some on $100 bills -- and take photos
for club goers on the dance floor. Then she and Nicky danced at the railing and
were joined by Kimberly Stewart and the trio called for shots
of Patron and moved their dance show to the VIP bed. When singer Eric
Benet joined the Patron-pleasure players, Paris’ entire CD began playing at 1:20AM and
she began dancing as if filming a music video. She wrapped herself in the white
curtains that surround the VIP beds and then began dancing on top of the table.
Paris was in
top form signing more autographs on everything from cell phones to driver’s
licenses. At 2:15AM, the newly-single, heavily-tattooed drummer Travis
Barker joined Paris
and an eyewitness reported: "The two hung out on the VIP bed and seemed to
be engaged with each other, not paying any attention to anyone else around
them." At 3AM, Paris started dancing seductively for him on top of the DJ
booth and grabbed the microphone yelling, “Hey everybody, you people are so hot
and sexy, I love you!I Want to come down there and dance with you, the girls
are so hot and the boys too. This is the sickest party Vegas has seen in a
while, this is fun, Las Vegas
is fun, I love you, and you’re the best. PURE, is the sexiest club in Vegas-the
girls in the room are so hot, you boys are so lucky.” When Paris’
version of Rod Stewart’s 'Do You Think I’m Sexy' was played, Paris announced to the crowd, “His daughter
is here, this is an ode to Rod.” She then returned to her VIP bed where she and
Travis Barker hung out until 4AM, when their entire party decided to move-on
and that's where we lost them. And our lips would be sealed anyway!!!
LIVIN' THE LABOR DAY LUXE LIFE The Labor Day
holiday weekend is one non-stop wild and wacky party with more events than any
one sane person could possibly catch. So, we've put them altogether in one
massive wrap up of fun-filled festivities so you can plan accordingly. Our
five-day over-view will remain posted here at Luxe Life
until we return on Tuesday, Sept 5 (in time for the beautiful girls of SCORES
adult-mens club to host the big sleepover recovery night at the Palms -- and a
lot, lot more!) Here’s the ultimate Robin’s Royal Rundown:
THURS,
AUG 31 As Luxe Life
reported yesterday (click
here for the full photo-story) PURE’s new Social
House Asian-styled restaurant opens tonight at Treasure
Island and connects right into the Tangerine nightclub to continue the
thru-the-night party. It’s the first of four
nights for Air
Supply at The Orleans as Australians Russell
Hitchcock and Graham Russell sing about love in
all its many forms! FRI, SEPT
1 Country superstars Tim
McGraw & Faith Hill -- Mr. & Mrs offstage
-- start 3 nights at Mandalay Bay with their Soul2Soul11 tour. Love that, “live
like you’re dying” attitude. The Godfather of
Soul is still going strong at 73! Yes, James
Brown, still the hardest working man in showbiz will wail
at the House of Blues. Tommy
Lee, the Motley Crue drummer, the Rockstar SuperNova judge
and jurist puts on his 3rd hat as DJ in the ghostbar
at the Palms
to kickoff the 3-day Bacardi Global Gathering weekend. Meantime at the Palms pool
Ditch Fridays noon-to-night party there’ll be a Cascade
concert.
Yours truly, with Tommy Lee, who DJs at ghostbar Friday.
Fellow rocker Dave
Navarro also turns DJ to host a party at PURE
as fans keep an eyeout for newly-separated wife, Carmen
Elektra or rival new galpal Jenna Jameson.
One of the biggest rock acts, Tool
performs a sell-out concert at the Hard Rock despite the
fact that fans pay up to $500 for scalper tickets and Tool has only released 4
records in 13 years! The Doobie
Brothers have kept their California rock sound alive for
over 35-years and they are still going strong with 13 gold albums and a concert
at Mandalay Bay. More than 20 million people have
watched the amazing juggling antics of Chris
Bliss to the final 3 Beatle songs on Abbey Road on the
Internet yet many still don’t even know his name! Tonight for 3 nights he does
smart comedy, and the three-round balls up at Suncoast.
He began with a 6-year-run on Saturday Night Live and followed with
TV shows and movies and now David
Spade has his own Comedy Central series. Tonight and
tomorrow he’s at the Mirage and since it’s a holiday weekend might his
multi-millionaire handbag designer sister Kate Spade or his new gorgeous tv
actress galpal be in the audience? Call it
country comedy, call it blue-collar comedy but Ron
White has a unique style all his own with two shows at the
Mandalay Bay Theatre. I always
encourage everybody to visit First Friday Arts Downtown and tour our
ever-growing art galleries, ceramics and sculpture studios on the fun-filled
walkabout that now draws over 12,000 fans. Thank
goodness the gorgeous girls of Trashy Lingerie are
back to brighten the 3-day holiday scene with their own party at Jet
in The Mirage . You can also catch the luscious lacy lasses in their
next-to-nothing outfits poolside all weekend
long. SAT, SEPT
2 R’n’B queen Mary
J. Blige has her ‘Breakthrough Experience’ at MGM and
“being without her” Labor Day wouldn’t have ‘No More Drama’ or the right sass
and spice. The near as naked can be costumes
are made from rubber, latex, leather and lace at the wild and outrageous
Pimp
'n' Ho Ball in Orleans Arena -- and rock and roll’s bad
boy, my pal Vince Neil from Motley Crue
will preside over the circus of crazy with 3 DJs and the beautiful
Rubber Dolls.

Yours truly with Vince Neil, who will be at Orleans Saturday.
You can call it the rival insane
Sin Spectacular of sex and sarcasm as Lucha
Va VOOM thumps into the Hard Rock with everything from burlesque
beauties challenging cat-fighting cuties, Mexican masked wrestlers and even
mini-fighters! The variety at VaVOOM is reportedly the background to
Jack Black’s latest Nanco Libre movie.
Its much quieter as Ann and Nancy
Wilson who make up Heart
are still 'Crazy About You' at the Luxor tonight and tomorrow with
all their top 40-hits to kickoff the resorts new fall series of musical
superstars. The wild and deep guttural voice of
Joe
Cocker wails up at the new Red Rock and
“ you are so beautiful” you have to go “up where we belong."
The Global Gathering continues poolside at the
Palms with Papa
Roach featuring lead singer Jacoby
Shaddix solving problems of love so strong its suicidal.
The Hard Rock’s hard rock weekend continues
with Twisted
Sister in concert for a disjointed family affair.
Its an electric summer jam as Tesla
leaves the railroad tracks and pulls into House of Blues with Hot Pistol.
My friend, famed pop- artist Peter
Max conducts a first-ever Virtual Tour of his New
York City art studio via closed-circuit internet-TV hookup to fans and
followers on giant plasma screens at his gallery in the Forum Shops .
He’ll draw an original dedication right on the screens live from Manhattan to any guest
purchasing one of his pieces.

Yours truly with pop artist Peter Max, who will conduct a Virtual Tour of his art studio Saturday.
SUN, SEPT
3 It’s a beach weekend and we
can do that in Vegas with the nonstop Reggae
Sunsplash party of UB40, Maxi
Priest and Third World at the Mandalay
Beach complete with its near surf-style waves!
The world’s #1 DJ
Tiesto spins the Global Gathering’s grand finale with an
all-night party Rain at The Palms. Television
actress/mogul Tori Spelling joins Grand Master
Flash for one hot party at PURE
in Caesars Palace.
Hot musical favorites Cracker cool down to make a
splash at the Suncoast
pool's outdoor concert. VH1 Classics presents
the James
Gang as they ride their hogs again right to the House of Blues
where they’ll sing thecontradictory 'Walk Away' hit! Handsome
Erick Morillo has DJ Sky Nellor spinning
for his party at Tao
in The Venetian and fans predict they’ll still be dancing as the sun rises.
DJ Dubfire launches his new
Deep Dish George Tour album at Jet
in The Mirage as he “dreams” with Stevie Nicks.
Expect the “Trashy Lingerie” girls to still be parading in high-heels and
thigh-highs. MON, SEPT
4 I dug deep to find one healthy
holiday celebration and discovered the Cirque
du Soleil 5K Run, with proceeds going to
4-community charity groups including Andre Agassi’s foundation. The fun all
starts at 6AM out at the Henderson
Pavilion, so go right from the late-night parties if you
have to. Entertainers from Cirque’s performers at 'LOVE,' 'KA,' 'O,' 'Mystere'
and 'Zumanity' will be on hand to add to the circus
theme! My very best champagne wishes to all of you as we
wind down summer with one mighty full-on blow-out weekend. Have fun but stay
safe and we’ll see you all back here on Tuesday as the girls of Scores plan the
big sleepover recovery blast at the Palms. We’ll also have the advance look at
the gods and goddesses of American Professional Volleyball as they get ready
for their 3-days of slam in the sand finals at Caesars Palace
next week. The fall season of fun in the sun is about to get underway and
Luxe Life will cover it from every angle top to bottom and
side to side!
