Diamond TKOs Jairo Ramirez
for Nabf Interim Title

TOP RANK IN association with OLN Network promoted a steaming fight card at The Orleans Arena, Thursday September 14. The main bout, a 12-round NABF Interim Lightweight Championship had Kid Diamond (Almazbek Raiymkulov, 23-1-1, 14 KOs) of Las Vegas knocked out Jairo Ramirez (21-3, 7 KOs) of Oaxaca, Mexico in 3:25 of 7th round.

The opening round had a flashy Ramirez delivering a lot of missed punches to Diamond’s head and body while Diamond carefully awaited his shots, catching Ramirez with an uppercut in the first round that sent him to the mat for a ten count.

From that point on Diamond set precedence to the fight while Ramirez continued to pound away at Kid Diamond. Diamond has a unique style of fighting where he cleverly slips in shots either in combinations or upper cuts. Diamond who has won all of his fights except one in October. where he lost to Nate Campbell has become a much more versatile fighter now that he is training with Miguel Diaz. Since that day when Diamond was knocked down three times and finally got knocked out in the tenth round by Campbell, he vowed to never be put in that position again. In point Miguel Diaz has taught Diamond how to be a strategic fighter and roll with the punches.

The swing bout, an eight-round super welterweight bout had Ahmed Kaddour (20-2, 9 KOs) of Houston, Texas, a Top Rank fighter returned to the ring after a year lay off. Kaddour fought an exhausting eight rounds against Jesus Valverde (22-12, 16 KOs) of Matzalan, Mexico. Valverde a seasoned fighter worked Kaddour’s midsection throughout the eight rounds. Although Kaddour threw numerous punches scoring to Valerde’s head, he didn’t have enough power to do any damage. The fight was scored as a majority draw. Kaddour has a lot of talent and will move up in the ranks with the right direction.

Other fights included a six-round middleweight bout between Jess Salway (3-2, 0 KOs) of Browning, Montana taking on Andy Lee (5-0, 3 KOs) of Limerick, Ireland. A slick and powerful Lee knocked out Salway in the first round. Alejandro Perez (6-0-1, 3 KOs) of Michoacan, Mexico fought well in a six-round super bantamweight bout and TKO'd Robert DaLuz (8-5, 6 KOs) of Miami, Florida. John John Molina (4-0, 4 KOs) of Los Angeles, California, TKO’d Julio Chavez (7-3-1, 2 KOs) of Albuquerque, New Mexico in 4:03 of round one in a four-round lightweight bout.
