Entertainment and Media Background

A brief career as a pre-teen and teenage entertainer. I managed my younger brother’s career along the same path. He became a protégé of Milton Berle and appeared in many of his shows. I also spent 3 seasons as a M.C. and social director at Borscht Belt circuit hotels in Upstate New York.

Some years later after establishing my own businesses and placing reliable people to manage them, I became president and active partner in First Investors Theater Corp., an organization involved on the entertainment industry. We became backers for many of Hal Prince’s Broadway shows and then re-invested money into “Off-Broadway Theater.”

We were soon called the “Schuberts of Off-Broadway.” Elaine May and Mike Nichols performed and directed some of our properties. Stars like Melvin Douglas and Dustin Hoffman and even Cassius Clay were actors who appeared in some of our shows. We also produced the first movie that Arnold Schwarzenegger appeared in called Hercules in Central Park with Arnold Stang. We also owned movie theaters, and a successful recording studio where many top recording artists including the Beatles recorded.

In addition we owned racehorses, a restaurant and were building our own Off-Broadway 499-seat theater. Members of our Board of Directors were songwriter Sammy Kahn, jockey Eddie Arcaro and businessman Peter Grace of the Grace Corp. Bank and shipping line.

I handled our press releases, publicity, and management of the restaurant and construction of the theater. I also had an affiliation with a record company and managed singers and groups.

Presently I am involved in many aspects pertaining to filming TV series, TV movies and feature films. I help in resolving budgets, production and contract negotiations. I have been editing many script and books, besides writing five children’s books and contributing stories to magazines and newspapers.

I wrote, produced and directed a 68-minute video for a Web site and currently have a few books and screenplays in the works besides being a contributing writer for the Las Vegas Hollywood Magazine. I have been a contributing writer for Senior Newspapers, in Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Tribune, for about 12 years. Before coming to Las Vegas 14 years ago I was a reporter for a Queens, New York 250,000 circulated weekly. I am versed in Senior problems and activities, celebrity interviewing, all sports, public opinion and general interest reporting.
