The stated purpose of this column is to help you the reader maximize your profits and minimize your losses, whether it be in the financial world or life in general. It's been some time since my last article, but rather than bore you with irrelevant information I thought I'd wait until I had something positive to offer. Since fall and football are upon us perhaps I can now be of some help. Although it appears to be an anomaly, there IS a casino in town that gives it’s patrons more than a fair shake. Being given the opportunity to lay 108 on baseball sides, the chance to bet into a 15 cent over/under line, and to be able to lay “a nickel juice" in football on designated days are unheard of benefits. Yet, curiously enough there is a local chain that offers all of the above "goodies" and more. I’m referring to Charlie’s (Stratosphere, Arizona Charlie's et al). My personal favorite of the aforementioned is Charlie’s West on Decatur who I would grace with my play regardless of the perks. The reason being, from top down, the staff is courteous, knowledgeable, treats their customers with respect and appreciates their business. You won’t find a friendlier or more capable trio of supervisors than T.J., Brian and Val. Feel free to ask for their help at any time. The boss, the first lady of bookmaking in Nevada (Kitt) is without question one tough cookie yet remains as FAIR as the line she deals (the most important attributes for someone in her position). I can honestly say that after 18 years of pouring my cash, sweat and tears through almost every betting window in town there is NO better place to wager!
Charlie’s will afford you the opportunity to win more when you win and lose less when you (bite my tongue) lose. And that’s the bottom line!
