No...not the one from La Cage or Rock & Roll fame

Frank started playing poker when he was legally old enough. He began playing at Artichoke Joes in California in the late '50s. Frank then took his ego and a very small bankroll to Las Vegas in 1969 after a divorce to play poker, bet the horses and sports. A few short months later (with his ego somewhat deflated) he was forced to get a job as a poker shill dealer. For the next 30 years or so, Frank was a poker dealer, prop player, shift boss and ran a very successful card room called “Check This.”

Fact is, Frank met his wife at a poker table. He says, “It was the best bet he had ever won.”

Frank will put a smile on your face and sometimes a tear to your eye…but most of all, he will help you appreciate and understand poker “Las Vegas style" of yesteryear and today.

Inbetween poker jobs, Frank owned and operated “Marino's Italian Cuisine” an Italian Restaurant, and the “Coffee Gallery,” a Sandwich and Cappuccino Cafe.
