Funding is provided through private donations, government grants and pro bono hours donated by local attorneys.

Free Classes

Please see calendar on this website for the current schedule of classes!

Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada and UNLV/Boyd School of Law have created a partnership program to help provide legal information to our community.  Boyd Law students present informational classes about Small Claims, Bankruptcy, Guardianship, Paternity/Custody and Family Law matters and help self represented litigants understand how to present their case and represent themselves in court.

The links provided to the left give information about the classes, locations and times.

For additional information please visit the UNLV/Boyd Law School website or the law school library at www.law.unlv.edu/library.

The Clark County Family Law Self - Help Center can also provide additional information and forms through their link at:

Please call 386-1070 extension 155 if you would like to register for one of the free classes.

ABOUT THE PRO BONO PROJECT

The Pro Bono Project coordinates private attorneys who generously volunteer to provide free legal assistance to individuals who cannot afford an attorney. While the attorneys do not charge the clients their hourly rates, the clients are responsible for any costs in the case that cannot be waived.

Through the Project, pro bono attorneys provide assistance with matters including, but not limited to, real estate, consumer fraud, bankruptcy, and family law, including representation of domestic violence victims and child victims of abuse/neglect.

The attorneys who contribute their services to residents of Clark County through our Project are honored each year at a Pro Bono Awards Luncheon, which is co-sponsored by the Clark County Bar Association.  Volunteers who contribute more than 100 hours in a year have their names added to a Pro Bono Honor Roll plaque displayed in our lobby.

TYPES OF ASSISTANCE THE PRO BONO PROJECT PROVIDES
