FOR THOSE WHO love a good brewed beer in a lively atmosphere, there is the original Gordon Biersch location on Paradise Road north of Flamingo and their newest location on Rampart north of Charleston. Both offer the fun environment Gordon Biersch is known for with boisterous servers, fun food, great brews and a relaxed dining room and outdoor patio.

Both locations offer special events such as Jazz Brunch at the Paradise Road restaurant and Happy Hour at the Rampart Road restaurant. Special brew parties are also part of the Gordon Biersch experience bringing beer lovers together to try the latest in hops from around the world. Gordon Biersch on Paradise Road is located in the city’s “Restaurant Row,” minutes from the Strip and the Las Vegas Convention Center. Gordon Biersch on Rampart is just south of the Suncoast Hotel and Casino and JW Marriott. Both locations were designed with an airy dining room reminiscent of a converted San Francisco warehouse and wood-covered patio. Gordon Biersch also features a Beer Garden, private dining rooms for group entertaining, and convenient on-site parking.

As for food, expect good food that is, yes, comfort food. For starters, there is Fried Calamari with Spicy Marinara and Wasabi Aioli ($9.50), Gordon Biersch Garlic Fries ($5.95) which are truly GARLIC fries, and Shrimp or Chicken Potstickers with Asian Barbecue Sauce and Hot Mustard ($8.95) and Tapas Roasted Garlic, Bruschetta, Olive Relish and Hummus with Herb Flatbread ($8.50).

For lunch, some of their signature dishes include Beer Battered Fish and Chips with Malt Vinegar and Cajun Rémoulade with Garlic Fries ($10.50), Blackened Fish Wrap Blackened Mahi Mahi, Mozzarella and Honey Sriracha Mayonnaise in a Flour Tortilla with Cole Slaw ($9.95), and Pulled Pork Sandwich with Märzen Barbecue Sauce with Cole Slaw ($8.95). Other entrées include Pasta Jambalaya Chicken, Shrimp, Ham and Andouille Sausage tossed with Orzo Pasta ($15.75), Goat Cheese Ravioli Mushrooms, Spinach, Pine Nuts with Rosemary in a Brown Butter Sauce ($10.50) and pizza such as Roasted Garlic & Chicken Pizza with a White Sauce, which has roasted garlic and pulled chicken ($11.95) and Hawaiian Pizza with Mozzarella Cheese, with diced ham and pineapple ($11.95).

Dinner selections include hearty dishes such as Flame Grilled New York Strip 14 oz. Strip Steak served with Gorgonzola Potato Wedges ($23.50), Bistro Steak Medallions Aged Beef Medallions marinated in Ginger Soy Sauce served with Gorgonzola Potato Wedges ($19.95) and Teriyaki Flat Iron Steak with a rich Teriyaki Sauce. Served with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Fresh Asparagus ($17.95).

Let’s not forget desserts such as Warm Apple Bread Pudding with Vanilla Ice Cream and Sticky Bun Caramel Sauce ($2.95) or Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie layers of creamy smooth Chocolate and Peanut Butter filling on an Oreo Crust, topped with a rich Chocolate Icing and crushed Peanuts ($3.25). As for alcoholic beverages, if you are not a beer drinker, try the Pomegranate Margarita or other mixed drinks available.

On Sundays, if you want to enjoy live entertainment along with your meal, the show begins at 12 noon but it gets crowded around 11:30 a.m. The same is true with the beer tastings and Happy Hour. This is one popular place that continues to deliver good quality in a pleasant atmosphere.
