Luna Rosa for Romantic Dining or Family Outing

Just one half hour from Las Vegas, where romantics and families love to dine, visit the traditional yet contemporary setting of the Luna Rosa Ristorante, located in the MonteLago Village overlooking Lake Las Vegas.

Luna Rosa is, of course, a smoke-free environment and features authentic dishes from all regions of Italy. There are options for dining in a private, draped, enclosed room, the main dining room or on the patio. The décor is very subdued in moderate beige tones with amber accents.

If you are really hungry and looking to sample many of the fine dishes at Luna Rosa, start with a bowl of Lentil Split Pea Soup. Wow, it hits the spot. Then, you might as well order an antipasto salad. But whatever you do, don’t eat too much of bread, or you’ll be too full to enjoy the best yet to come.

The main entrée served for our dining party started with the Chilean Sea Bass with Sautéed Vegetables. This particular dish is not too spicy, on the light side.

For those who enjoy meat, try the New York Steak served on a bed of arugula accompanied by roasted potatoes in a red wine sauce with garlic and rosemary sauce. Another popular entrée is the Salmone a la Aceto Balsamico, which is the grilled salmon on a bed of arugula with an 8-year-old balsamic vinegar reduction sauce, served with mixed vegetables.

Regardless of whether it’s pasta, beef, veal or fish, Luna Rosa is your destination for a romantic evening of dining or for a wonderful family outing. The staff’s demeanor is warm and attentive, so even the traveler or local who dines alone would feel welcome.

Call (702) 568-9921 for reservations or information. CSN rates Luna Rosa a 9.

My book of poetry entitled "Messages" was inspired by my dear friends C.J. Cansler along with Victoria Boone and Beryl Warren.

The group of poems along with some beautiful photographs are to inspire the reader.
