"The Star-Spangled Banner" is the national anthem of the United States of America. The lyrics come from "Defence of Fort McHenry," a poem written in 1814 by the 35-year-old amateur poet Francis Scott Key after witnessing the bombardment of Fort McHenry by the British Royal Navy ships in Chesapeake Bay during the Battle of Baltimore in the War of 1812. "The Star-Spangled Banner" was recognized for official use by the Navy in 1889 and the President in 1916, and was made the national anthem by a congressional resolution on March 3, 1931... Klip It For Kidz Returns in March,
Raising Funds for the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation


Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada along with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and the Clark County Fire Department are proud to present the 2nd Annual Klip it for Kidz on March 13, at Town Square Las Vegas, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This special event will benefit the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation's programs and services for critically ill children and their families living in Southern Nevada.
