VCO is Thrilled to Announce Our Newest Columnist

CallBack Entertainment

In 1989 Las Vegas director, choreographer Minnie Madden and former Hollywood scribe Mark Tan sat at a typewriter and pounded out the first eight-page issue of a new entertainment publication. It was, almost jokingly, christened “Dirt Alert,” using the show business slang and backstage vernacular for the latest gossip, unconfirmed rumors and updates on new productions. Now CallBack's focus and appeal has greatly expanded and they will share their up and coming projects with the VCO community.

To Sign Up For The Kidsmarathon Training Program

Registration Now Open

The Las Vegas Marathon aims to teach kids the advantages of a fit and healthy lifestyle with a 10-week KiDSMARATHON training program beginning Sept. 22, 2008.

All kids 7 to 12 years old looking to participate in a structured yet fun fitness program are encouraged to visit with a parent or legal guardian to register for the KiDSMARATHON training program.  Youth participating in the program will run approximately four kilometers per week (2.5 miles) for 10 weeks - accumulating a total of 40 kilometers (25 miles).

The third-annual Las Vegas KiDSMARATHON will be held Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008 at 1 p.m. at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino. The kids will complete their final 2.195 kilometers (1.36 miles) in front of cheering fans, families and friends as they cross the official finish line of The 2008 Las Vegas Marathon.

All participating schools, youth organizations and parents interested in directing a KiDSMARATHON training program will have direct contact with The Las Vegas Marathon coaching staff and will be provided all the necessary training materials needed to run a successful and rewarding training program. More information is available at or by contacting Gina Haugh at 702.731.1052 or [email protected].
