Families, or for that matter, any group, can come together to learn
about the different activities that you can do to add physical fitness
to your life.
It only takes a small change.
The statistics on physical inactivity and overweight and
obesity may paint a pretty grim picture, but don’t be discouraged.

Summer Kick-Off Fiesta Day And School’s Out Splash Party
on Saturday, May 23, 2009 the pool’s opening
day of the season. Enjoy open swimming, the
water slide, Latin music, food and beverages.
City of Las Vegas staff will share information
regarding swim lessons, aquatics teams, summer
passes and pool rentals. Food and beverages are
additional. Saturday, May 23rd from
Noon – 5:00 pm at the Carlos L. Martinez and
Darrio J. Hall Family pool in Freedom Park – 889
N. Pecos – Entry fee $3 a person |

abuse prevention website, is offering a $1,000
cash prize for the best prevention video
submitted to the website during the months of
May and June. The competition is a continuing
part of activities conducted by CAN Prevent, the
Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Task Force,
Inc. The organization is based in Reno, but
running a full statewide campaign in 2009. |
