October is Energy Awareness Month.
The U.S. Department of Energy this year is
recognizing the importance of energy efficiency
and conservation and working with the
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to promote
the
Change
a Light, Change the World campaign.
NEMA and its members are supporting this program
and a number of other initiatives that will help
the nation achieve its ambitious energy
efficiency goals.� Energy Awareness Month has
implications far beyond lighting. NEMA members
produce a broad spectrum of energy saving
devices and works in partnership with various
agencies to promote their use to the public.
Their
members are on the cutting edge of energy
efficiency technology and actively promote,
often through
NEMA, the use of that technology as they
have for decades. |

to the public to help in their
efforts to feed the homeless
here in the valley.
Volunteers prepare and serve a
home-cooked supper to 250
homeless each Wednesday evening
and also provide worship service
and continental breakfast each
Sunday morning.
Volunteers distribute donations
of gently used clothing.
The ministry provides referral
services to individuals needing
employment, housing, and
counseling.
