Fit Kids, Healthy Families

Vegas PBS continues the battle against childhood obesity with the premier of its local production "Fit Kids, Healthy Families."  The program focuses on why and how childhood obesity has become the significant health problem it is today.  It also provides a fast-paced look into the nutritional and exercise habits children and parents should develop to ensure a lifetime of healthy habits.  Health tips provided in the program are offered by individuals that range from a Clark County School District physical education facilitator to a professional rock climber.  The hour-long program was produced in support of Vegas PBS' highly successful Keeping Kids Fit project, which is a comprehensive effort to teach children healthy habits through customized curriculum and workshops supplemented by extensive online resources.  Fit Kids, Healthy Families premiered on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009 at 9 p.m. on Channel 10, if you have missed it, see it rebroadcasted on January 25th at 7:00 pm

Now I have seen Criss many times at Red Carpet functions and at Vegas parties in the past, each time with a different woman on his arm, but I can honestly say Holly is different. "Celebrate Life Day"

Yesterday was Celebrate Life Day, a day to "take time to smell the roses" so to speak. If you didn’t celebrate “Celebration Life Day” yesterday; celebrate it today, celebrate it tomorrow and everyday this year. Even in our troubled times, we, Americans, have so much to celebrate. 2009 brings us a new President, Vice President, Senate and Congress with the vision of transformation with it. We need to come together as Americans and bring the CHANGE and HOPE we all crave to this great country of ours.
